Drawing is a skill that often gets left by the wayside as we grow older. We’re told that we need to focus on more “practical” skills, and so drawing falls by the wayside. But what if I told you that drawing is a skill that can be beneficial in all aspects of your life? In this blog post, we will explore the benefits of drawing classes in kindergarten. We will see how drawing can help with problem-solving, fine motor skills, and more.
The best way to make a child good is to make him happy.
In this weekly art club for animal lovers, learners will draw a cute cartoon animal while having fun. They will learn and practice basic drawing skills with step by step instruction. Then they will use their imagination to add backgrounds to their drawing.
The club structure allows the same learners to meet every week, creating a familiar and supportive environment. They will also exercise important social skills through talking about their art and taking turns.
- Practice following direction
- Focus on details
- Work with their mistakes
- Create art that they will feel proud of
- Learners check in
- Chat about the animal of the week
- Draw along with step by step instruction
- Learners color, add background to their drawing and social time
- Show and tell with drawing
During the draw along, learners are welcome to hold up their drawing to the camera for gentle feedback. They are also encouraged to ask questions throughout the lesson through the microphone or chatbox. For classes of more than 3 learners, everyone’s microphone will be muted during instruction to avoid background noise. Learners will be asked to raise their hand before speaking.
