We are a team of highly committed early childhood professionals. Each member of our team brings their own unique skills and knowledge to collaboratively develop an excellent Preschool environment for young learners. Our team is led by our Director – Nominated Supervisor and two Early Childhood Teachers, one of whom is an Educational Leader. Our team of educators are committed to ongoing professional learning and studies and experienced educators provide mentorship to support our aspiring educators.
Director – Nominated Supervisor
Christine is the Director-Nominated Supervisor. Christine has a B. Comm (HR) and is trained in HR. In line with the Preschool commitment that all staff are qualified as educators, Christine completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Christine speaks English, Cantonese and Bahasa Malaysia.
Bitu is one of our two Early Childhood Teachers. Bitu has a Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) from University of Sydney. Bitu brings with her the rich experience of working in larger services, providing educational leadership to teams and leading the development of a curriculum and practice that enhances children's learning and development. Bitu also has a Master's degree in Information Technology. Bitu speaks English, Nepali and Hindi.
Being passionate about enhancing each child’s learning and development, Vicky continued to develop her knowledge beyond her Diploma qualification. Vicky is completing her teaching degree while working as an Educator/ Cook. In addition, Vicky has a B. Nursing and worked as a registered nurse in the cardiothoracic unit. Vicky speaks fluent English and Mandarin.
Hannah is one our part-time Cooks/Educators. Hannah holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care and works from Mondays – Wednesdays. Hannah is responsible for Nutrition for Children and Menu Planning and also Food Safety due to her experience in the industry. Hannah is very caring with our children and the children respond very well to her. Hannah speaks English and Korean.
Sarah is our full-time Diploma-qualified educator. As a room leader in her previous role, Sarah has comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards and strong written and verbal communication skills. Sarah supports and extends children’s learning through music and rhythm and through hands-on experiences in the kitchen.
Amy is one of our two casuals who educate and care for our children regularly. Amy grew up in the US with cultural roots in Hong Kong. She has a master’s degree in teaching from Macquarie University. Amy speaks three languages fluently: English, Cantonese & Mandarin.
Trisha completed her Certificate III qualification while working as a trainee at Kings Road Preschool. Trisha now works as a casual educator, balancing work, family and her work at a dog rescue charity. Trisha has a B. Arts in Fashion Design - she trained and worked as a baby / kidswear designer early on in her career; and later, ran her own babywear business.
Sue was our Preschool’s Director - Early Childhood Teacher - Educational Leader - Nominated Supervisor from 2016 until she retired in March 2020. Sue holds B. Education Early childhood (4 years trained) and has over 23 years' experience in early childhood education, with Local Government and Community based Children’s Services. Her focus is on providing a comprehensive transition to school program for our preschoolers in the year prior to school. This program aims to ensure that they confidently take their next step into formal school with confidence, skills and dispositions that will support their future success. Sue is passionate about providing high quality early learning experiences for children in a preschool environment. Sue has a love of art, creativity and natural environments.
